As Vice President of People and Business Services at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc., Shobana is focused on delivering a talent strategy that enables individual growth and organizational innovation. With more than a decade of experience in Human Resources, Shobana utilizes a proactive approach with empathy and understanding towards all people, focusing her efforts to the betterment of the communities we serve. Her primary role is to drive business strategy and align talent development in support of Otsuka’s mission, purpose, values and culture.

Shobana joined Otsuka in 2010 and was instrumental in evolving the People and Business Service function to better serve the organization. Her exemplary strategic thinking and critical execution of programs and initiatives enable the function to provide guidance and drive engagement within the organization. Prior to joining Otsuka, Shobana has advised the HR sector of several different organizations, including Environmental Defense and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Shobana holds an MBA specializing in Human Resources from the Xavier Institute of Social Services as well as a Master's in Applied Geology from Jadavpur University, India.
